ACS nationally promotes awareness and achievement among members

The American Chemical Society(ACS) is the world’s largest scientific organization, consisting of over 155,000 members. These members include chemists, chemical engineers, technicians, and other related professions. The ACS provides a multitude of information, educational, financial, technical and professional opportunities for its members. The ACS seeks to promote the public’s perceptions and understanding of chemistry, assist the federal government with advice on scientific and technological issues, host national, regional and local section meetings for the exchanging of ideas, information and chemical research discoveries, and provide career development assistance and employment opportunities for students and professionals.
